EAGLE'S PERSPECTIVES

Each year our Chapter honors a Michigan cardiologist with a Legacy Award for outstanding contributions to the field of cardiology. This year we honor Dr. Kim Eagle who has been a leader in the field of cardiovascular diseases especially aortic dissection and preoperative risk assessment. He is Director of the Frankel Cardiovascular Center at University of Michigan Health and serves as Editor-in-Chief of ACC.org.  He chaired the widely popular ACC Cardiovascular Board prep course for 15 years and is still involved as a teacher. Always an enthusiastic mentor, he was a major force in creating ACC's Teaching Tomorrow's Teachers program to inspire the next generation of medical educators.

Dr. Eagle's perspectives will include:

    • My Advice to My Younger Self
    • Top 10 Pearls to Know about Trends in Understanding Aortic Dissection
    • Top 10 Pearls to Know about Preoperative Risk Assessment
